Two Reading Groups organised by the Congregation of Mark the Evangelist will meet on a monthly basis from May to July to consider the three chapters of the book Theopolitical Imagination: Christian Practices of Space and Time by William Cavanagh. An alternative subtitle for the book in some editions is Discovering the Liturgy as a Political Act in an Age of Global Consumerism.

- The myth of civil society as free space
- The myth of globalization as catholicity
The details of the two groups are as follows:
Evening: 7.30pm the third Wednesday of the month beginning May 21 (May 21, June 18, July 16). [This group is now full] This group will meet at the North Melbourne church office (2 Elm St, North Melb).
Day: 11am the third Friday of the month (May 16, June 20, July 18);
This group will meet at 11.15am, at the Centre for Theology and Ministry, 29 College Cres, Parkville, in the G1 classroom.
