This Sunday August 24, our focus text will be John 11, with particular attention v.25: “I am the resurrection and the life”.
Monday Movies at the Nova. This group got off to a shaky start last week! Those there thought we’d continue to give it a go, trialling the first Monday of the month from September (Monday September 1). As the weekly movie schedule is only published on the prior Thursday, advice of movie and time chosen will be late in that week, but will aim in the time zone of a 1000-1030 start, with coffee/toasties in the Nova’s own cafe for those interested to stay and discuss the film.
Craig has begun to publish various odds and ends on a new Substack page, Faith after Faith. This an experiment in making such things as Sunday sermons, with further commentary, more widely accessible, as well as an attempt to construct a space for reflection on being Christian in a “post-” era: and not least after the death of God in Western culture. Substack sites and posts sit around waiting for whenever people think to go looking for them, or it’s possible to subscribe for free to receive notifications of when new stuff is posted.
